NORTH SHORE MN

I had an incredible camping trip this weekend up the North Shore of Minnesota along Lake Superior.

My boyfriend and I hiked up Elys Peak, reaching the summit at 1,133 ft. The views were breathtaking, and we even carved our initials into some rocks. We brought a stick back from the top for our dog, Lola, and plan to bring her next summer.

We visited Tettegouche State Park and saw the High Falls of the Baptism River, the tallest waterfall in Minnesota at 63 feet. Though I forgot to snap pictures, my boyfriend got some great shots of me.

We also went to Gooseberry State Park, a must-visit every year. Gooseberry Falls was the first of eight state parks developed along Lake Superior's North Shore!

Cliff jumping at Iona Beach was exhilarating, even though the water was freezing! It’s been a yearly thing with my boyfriend’s family and I’m so happy to be apart of it. The water is beautiful here, it just looks so majestic!

Lastly, we visited Split Rock Lighthouse, which is 115 years old. I've been coming here since I was little! So many amazing sights!
