Reasons that made sense for me:

Before I get started, let me put a disclaimer on here. This was my personal choice with my personal reasons. Never have I projected my personal opinions on this matter, to make anyone feel the need to follow, nor will I ever. Freedom is beautiful🫶🏻

Reason #1 ) So many posts were petty, unnecessary and childish. When I first got snap, which was probably in idk 6th grade, I was one of the people posting for attention. But I stopped posting completely in high school because I realized how dumb I looked, nor did it interest me anymore. To this day I have friends who are my age (people who are literally parents now) go on snap to be so petty, caddy and rude. It’s the most childish thing ever and I couldn’t stand looking at it.

Reason #2 ) The bots! Omg I was constantly being added by fake people wanting to offer me money to be their sugar baby or being sent videos (iykyk). It was so obnoxious.

Reason #3 ) I got to a point where I wouldn’t even respond to my messages on there. I hated being on the app that much. The absolute only thing I would go on there for was the camera, bc for some reason, snap had such a good camera. I’ve considered completely deactivating my acc. and starting a new one with no friends, just for that camera. 😭

Reason #4 ) The way it made me feel. I’m a Christian, and the way certain posts, people or situations made me feel wasn’t good. I never enjoy feeling hurt or angry, and it was becoming a constant thing on that app because of petty people wanting to hurt your feelings without directly coming to you with their problem.

Reason #5 ) the random people. I literally didn’t know anybody on my snap but maybe 10-15 people. And I had hundreds of people on my snap. I don’t know why, but it came to be that way, and it was unnecessary haha.

All in all, I haven’t regretted deleting the app whatsoever! It’s been such a relief honestly. I only told people I cared about, that I was getting rid of it so they knew how to get ahold of me, and left the others to figure it out. Best decision ever🫶🏻
