D: D is for Deep Conditioning

The overwhelming majority of natural hair girls will tell emphasize the importance of deep conditioning your hair!! The way that that the natural hair YouTube era had me deep conditioning my hair every week!

Now that I have been doing this natural hair thing and have figured out my routine I have a better understanding and appreciation of deep conditioning. I deep condition every 4-6 weeks and always after a protective style. In between that time I may do a hair mask and I use products that are moisturizing.
