things you NEED in your dorm room | uni life 📚📌

i've moved in! 🚗🏡 as a new uni student, i found myself kinda lost at what to bring to my dorm room but as i've settled in, these are some of my random knick knacks that i simply can't do without — so if you'll be moving in soon or are planning to when you start school, here are my absolute necessities.

𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙖 𝙎𝙏𝙐𝙆 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙧

this $14.90 hanging organizer is worth every cent. it comes folded and expands into this vertical organizer with 7 compartments! as someone who doesn't own many hangers and prefers most items to be folded, this was perfect. it also provided SO much more closet space as the closet itself has mostly hanging space, with the cabinet being only big enough for smaller pieces like socks or intimates. definitely recommend! 👚👖

𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙭𝙚𝙨

these tiny boxes are a life saver for me because i have so many loose items that need to be put together. skincare items, dry shampoo, a comb, makeup wipes... all of these fit perfectly in these small boxes that you can get off shopee or taobao easily! it's the easiest way to make clutter look slightly more organized and also makes it easy to look for what you need. 👓🧳

𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙟𝙪𝙜 + 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬 𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙨

this giant jug i found in my house is one of the best things in my room, just because of how convenient drinking water becomes 🌊 when studying in my room, this is so useful as it makes refilling my bottles so easy, which in turn encourages me to drink more water. i also rekindled my love for straw tumblers here because it's just so much easier than having to open a bottle every single time. just remember to wash it!

𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙝 𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙨 & 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨

these are SO important!! even though 3m command hooks aren't the cheapest, they are definitely durable and are so useful whenever you need to hang random things. push pins are also a must if you have any cork boards, and they also serve as extra 'hooks' for scrunchies, lanyards etc! 🦋
