oily skin NECESSITY: blot & glow 🌸

as someone who gets shinier than a disco ball after a few short hours out, i've always struggled to find a product perfect for reducing shine throughout the day. that's when i came across the rare beauty blot & glow compact, and it's honestly changed my life 🪷

the compact is a sleek case that houses a pre-filled powder puff and pack of 100 blotting sheets, both refillable. it also has a built-in mirror for easy touch-ups! 🪞

what i love about the compact is that it's so fuss-free — everything you need to give your face a natural matte finish whenever it gets a bit too shiny, all in one place. the powder puff seems unassuming, but contains quite a fair bit of product (remember to hit it against your arm a couple of times before your first use to activate it!). i always find myself quite impressed by how effective the product is every time i use it! 🫶🏻 i love that the mattifying effect it gives isn't too cakey and looks very natural.

though it is rather pricey ($42), i do believe it's quite worth it especially if you've been looking for something like this. i used to be really insecure about how oily my skin got, so this has been a lifesaver on so many occasions. 🎀 i bring it out EVERY single day without fail and i can't imagine life without it now 💔

ps. i used this when my skin had a slight sheen and wasn't at PEAK oilyness, so it might be slightly harder to see the difference, but trust me when i say it REALLY works 🔍
