cheap vs. expensive transfer-proof lipsticks 💋

as we're constantly taking off and putting our masks back on, let me take you through three different transfer-proof lippies at three different price points so you can decide which you actually want to spend on ✌🏻

𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘁

this $7 tint is hands down one of the best on the market, with its unbeatable price and great shade range. it's lightweight, slightly runnier than other formulas but still has great colour pay-off. they don't scrimp on packaging even at the price — the velvety smooth casing is durable and feels more expensive than it is. it also stays on for ages! this is my personal favourite. however, most other shades are a tad too cool or weirdly orange for my skin tone, which i dislike.

𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙚: midnight mauve

𝗹'𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸

this lipstick goes on so smoothly and feels like a cloud sat on your mouth... ☁️ application is very even and just one coat is more than enough. it has a soft matte finish that feels like you're wearing nothing, which is really nice! packaging is also really sleek and luxe. at its mid-range price though, i feel it lacks any real staying power and you'd be better off buying three etude house tints. i do prefer the shade range for these though, and i like that the texture allows it to be used as blush too!

𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙚: i loose up

𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗼 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲

if you're looking to splurge, this chanel lippie has incredible staying power and the prettiest shades. it's a liquid lipstick that dries to a tacky finish, to be topped with the high-shine gloss that locks it in perfectly for at least a couple of hours. the only downside is that it's a two-step application process and a dip-brush situation, which makes it slightly more of a hassle to touch up. i do love this product if not for the price tag though!
