I got this vintage Burberry skirt in Paris a few years ago and rarely wear it just because I don’t usually gravitate towards skirts. This fall, I’m challenging myself to wear more of the unused pieces in my wardrobe, so I pulled this fabulous skirt out.
Look 1:
I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone in my daily outfits, and layering is a great way to do that. I am also trying to incorporate more color instead of staying in my safe zone of black and white, so I really went for different patterns and colors for this outfit.
Top: Ralph Lauren white and brown button down
Vest: Jonathan Simkhai pinstripe vest
Jacket: Thrifted cropped denim jacket
Tie: Thrifted brown tie
Bag: 90s Guess bag
Shoes: Thrifted brown leather heeled boots
Look 2:
I kept my go-to black turtleneck and boots as the base for this look but wanted to elevate it. I got this cropped leather bolero jacket from Nihl NYC last year and struggle to style it. I made it the focal point of this outfit and I like that it elevates an otherwise simple look.
Jacket: Nihl NYC
Shirt: Amazon turtleneck
Belt: Thrifted leather belt
Shoes: INCH2 leather combat boots
Bag: Thrifted Dolce & Gabbana Bag
Look 3:
I just got this suede trench on eBay and I thought it would be perfect to use as the base color to match accessories to. The belt and bag I added perfectly complemented the shoes, and the jacket fits into the same color family.
Jacket: 70s Suede jacket
Belt: Vintage gold belt
Shoes: thrifted leather boots
Bag: Dooney & Bourke bag
Look 4:
I got this sweater when I was in Ireland and the color of it matched perfectly with the skirt. I didn’t want look to be too monochromatic so I tied in the red from the plaid as an accent color.
Sweater: Aran Sweater Market
Belt: Thrifted
Bag: thrifted Nine West
Shoes: thrifted leather boots
