A huge trend I’ve been seeing for spring is sheer lace. I am a huge believer in being able to thrift almost any trend for way less than retail prices, and so I hunted down this beautiful skirt on Depop for $30 and put together 6 different outfits using mostly thrifted pieces from my closet.
Look 1:
I love vintage lace, so here I combined a vintage lace cami from Unearth Vintage in Brooklyn with black bathing suit bottoms and the skirt. To add a bit more coverage, I contrasted the lace with a distressed leather jacket from Buffalo Exchange and a pair of Frye boots I was able to snag on eBay.
Look 2:
Who says skirts have to be skirts? I pulled the skirt up to make it a strapless dress. I feel like the skirt speaks for itself, so I kept the rest of the outfit simple. I recently thrifted this wool bomber jacket in Boston, and added my favorite Inch2 boots I found on Vestiaire.
Look 3:
I bought these Y.Project denim shorts for a shoot I was styling, and have never figured out the right way to wear them in real life. I was SO excited to finally have a way to style these. I paired the shorts and skirt with a thrifted leopard belt and a backless sweater vest I recently thrifted for under $30.
Look 4:
I kept the same short/skirt/belt combo but wanted to dress it up a bit. I paired it with a cream lace tank and thrifted knee high cognac leather boots I found at Buffalo Exchange.
Look 5:
Same as look 3, but I added a little more coverage with this super cute crochet sweater I got for $15.
Look 6:
I love monochromatic all black looks, so of course I had to do one for the skirt. I just got this layered Zara top and paired the whole outfit with a thrifted leather belt and my favorite vintage Luciano Padovan leather boots.
