Little boy bedroom makeover on a budget!

We recently turned our 3rd bedroom (used as a junk room) into my sons bedroom! He turned 3 in March and was ready for a big boy bed. Instead of taking down all the nursery furniture and replacing it with his new furniture, we decided to renovate the 3rd bedroom and turn it into his room. That way, when we get pregnant again the nursery will already be ready. The less work for us, the better 😅

This room had brown wood paneling walls when we moved in. We painted them shortly after, but you could see the dips in the wall from the panels. We ended up filling in the panels so it’s a smooth surface and primed/painted. That made such a huge difference.

I absolutely love this transformation, I can’t even believe it’s the same room. I wanted him to have ✨some✨ toys in his room, but he gets stimulated very easily so I wanted to keep it minimalistic.
