This past week and weekend has been super crazy and hectic. My 7 month boy woke up from his nap flushed, really warm, super fussy, not wanting to eat, shaking.

As a first time mom I was freaking out, worried, since baby has never ever been sick and he wasn’t acting himself. Told my husband to call the hospital(our pediatrician works there) and to ask if we should bring him in. They told us to wait it out, keep him hydrated and keep an eye on his symptoms

Woke up the next day and saw that he was worse, super congested couldn’t breathe, fever, wasn’t playing or being him self so I decided to take him to the urgent care near by.

These are some quick essentials that I bought to help the healing process:

Humidifier: Safety 1st 360 cool mist ultrasonic humidifier. Helps soothe baby with moisture-rich air, has two outlets that rotate for full nursery coverage. It’s an easy clean and it has no filter.

Boogie Micro-mist saline inhaler: gentle relief from congestion and other respiratory symptoms. The mist distributes a natural sterile saline that can help moisturize and soothe.

Motrin: Lasts up to 8 hours and helps relief fever

Aquaphor: helps with irritated and chapped skin! Used some around his nose to prevent irritation and dry skin from all the congestion

Soothing Chest Rub: has lavender oils, beeswax and shea butter balm. Used some on the bottom of his feet and chest to help with congestion.

Baby is finally feeling a little better, still a little congested and we’re still using the saline mist!
