I cleared my ROSACEA?

Really just out here exposing myself. I used to have really good skin before I got rosacea so you can imagine how depressing it was for me to suddenly have to deal with this. Sharing how I got it under control (but pls i am not a dr ok) Last pic was taken just 2 weeks ago.

In June 2022, overnight my face got super red and spotty and ITCHY. I thought it was because I started using retinol and i was just purging (boy was i so wrong). I tried to deal with it on my own with all sorts of products for about a year before i decided to see a dermatologist. My Dr told me I have rosacea and there is no cure for it, I can only take steps to control the flare ups. Got prescribed ivermectin and tacrolimus topicals, slowly lowered the usage of them as my skin improved and now my rosacea is mostly in control. I only have flare ups when i have a sudden change in environment when i travel!! :)

⛔️SIGNS YOU HAVE ROSACEA:

-Redness (esp in heat or extreme cold)

-Itching

-Skin is hot to the touch

❌DONTS

-Dont use harsh actives!! (AHA/BHA, Retinols, Chemical exfoliants etc.)

-Dont shower with really hot or really cold water

-ALWAYS USE SUN PROTECTION

✅ DOs

-Use gentle skincare (the simpler the ingredients the better)

-Physically exfoliate at most 2 times a weak gently

-See a dermatologist so they can prescribe you some topicals to help with the inflammation.
