I love collecting cassettes of the artists I love and also willing to purchase a genre that's completely new to me to dive deep into them. So, this is definitely one of the best experiences I had in Tokyo, Japan!

Waltz Tokyo specialises in all things cassettes while also carrying a variety of mediums like vinyls, books and VHS tapes! Their collection is so vast and well-kept, even Gucci recognised them as the place to be to get lost in nostalgia.

there's definitely tons of cassettes of different genres for you to choose from from rock, soul, reggae, and pop! new cassettes would be on their tables while vintage cassettes are on the shelves, arranged alphabetically!

📻 boomboxes and walkmans

there's a whole array of them on the shelves next to the cashier! tbh i think it's better to get one in Singapore through Carousell because it's slightly cheaper! But it's still amazing to see all the different designs of the old models in one place 🥹❤️

If you want to jumpstart your cassette-collecting hobby, this is literally THE place to be in Tokyo 🫶🏼 Also, Taro Tsunoda, the owner of Waltz, can speak English so don't worry so much about fiddling with your Papago translator - you're good to go!
