What I noticed after bariatric surgery!

Soooo…I’m 13 weeks (3 months) post op! I had a gastric sleeve done April 16, 2024 and I’m officially 62lbs (28kg) down!

Here are some things I’ve noticed!

🌸: My nails turn blue! Whenever I’m too cold or I feel like I can’t get enough oxygen they turn a pale blue. Usually it’s because I’m cold and I have been feeling more cold lately!

🌸: after vsg surgery my hair has fallen out and gotten a bit thinner. I’m not sure if this normal after a big surgery since this was my first ever surgery! But I’ve been using oils and taking vitamins to help combat this

🌸: my taste has changed! So after surgery I found I wasn’t craving sweets as much anymore, I don’t like fatty or greasy foods as much anymore…I also don’t like chicken as much, it makes me nauseous now and I’m not quite sure why…I do miss some of the things I used to eat like barbacoa or pork rinds but I don’t think I regret getting the surgery!

🌸: I’m still healing and still growing…so things may change! I may be less picky in the future but we will see, but as of now I don’t regret my decision :))
