College Life: Things You Should Know About

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been off here for a bit but I did say I was gonna post something in the coming weeks. As a college junior, I’ve leaned a lot over the past three years, so I figured I’d give some of y’all advice, recommendations, suggestions, tips, etc.

𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐘: Y’all this whiteboard became my best friend. It has really helped me in understanding course material and utilizing it tremendously helped me for exams. So take my advice, use that whiteboard. Also, procrastinating is only gonna leave you more stressed than you already are, so let’s all have some discipline and study <3

𝐆𝐎 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓: Treat yourself with something nice from time to time, you deserve it 🩷 I went to my first ever concert! A very last minute and the most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done fs, but it was one of the best nights of my life. I can vividly remember my reaction to seeing Nicki Minaj on that stage, and I had an epiphany, like this is really Nicki in real life 😭.

𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: I wanna look back at my college years and appreciate the time that I had. The good and the bad. Take pictures so you can look back and cherish the memories that you’ve made <3 Also it can be random things throughout the day, the whole purpose is to capture moments as well as live through them.

𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒: Guys not everyday is exciting. Some days are just study days, other days you’re sleeping in till 1-2 in the afternoon. Other days are rest days. This is all okay! Don’t feel ashamed for taking breaks and relaxing. Don’t feel ashamed for being studious for a whole day. Prioritize yourself and your education always.

𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐍: College is surely about getting your education, but it’s also about fun! Hanging out with friends helps to alleviate the stress associated with college classes. Also, joining clubs brings in a sense of community. I encourage all of you college students to leave your dorm every once in a while and just explore the vibes on your campus for one day.
