When we had our baby shower, we had a diaper raffle like everyone else! We were LOADED! But it’s really never enough.
Babies go through diapers like it’s no one’s business. And the worst part is, you have no idea what kind of diapers will or won’t give your baby a rash.
With a sensitive skin, red headed, fair baby, we struggled to beat the diaper rash. So finally, we got cloth.
Here’s a few things we learned:
1- there’s a large upfront cost. The initial cost was a little striking. We bought 14 “pocket diapers” with two 10 packs of cotton inserts and spent $200.
2-you have to double wash every cycle. We run one cycle and free and clear detergent, vinegar, and a little baking soda, then another wash with just the detergent vinegar. (Always free and clear detergent)
3- we bought a hand sprayer that attaches to the toilet to spray out poo 💩 it’s the best way to get those bad boys cleaned
4-goodbye diaper rash! The only time our baby has a rash now, is when he has too much of an acidic food (strawberries or red sauce), or when we use disposable diapers in an emergency.
Overall, we LOVE cloth diapers and if we have another kiddo, we will be putting cloth diapers on our registry rather than disposable. ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5:
