A couple years ago I felt very out of control of my life. I was stuck in a negative work environment and in a constant anxiety ridden cycle each day that left me drained and very unhappy. After feeling this way for almost *A YEAR* I finally decided to stop complaining and just bearing my unhappiness and do something about it. Also, some time off sounded like just what I needed. Here are some of the things I did over the next few months:

- Friends trip to Cancun

- Traveled to West Palm Beach to see some friends for the first time in over two years

- Went to Dallas for my brother & mom’s birthdays

- Drove through Yellowstone with my brother & now sister-in-law on our way to Bozeman, Montana where we spent a week with my grandpa & step grandma

- Spontaneous girls trip to Big Sur with one of my best friends

- Read a lot of books

- Family trip to New Orleans to visit some friends

- Lake Powell with my family and some of our best friends over my birthday & helped my brother propose to the BEST girl!!

- Celebrated my best friend finding out she was having a BABY BOY

- Met my now amazing boyfriend

- Concerts with friends

- Started being active again

- Last minute trip to Greece the week before I started my new job

This was the best decision I have ever made. It gave me a full reset. I wasn’t happy and finally took the leap to change that. Of course, it is a continuous process and I am still working through my anxiety but the first step is the hardest. So, if you are unhappy - this is your encouragement to remove the mental limitations you have for yourself and go create the life you want.

The point isn’t to just go travel to a lot of places. It was the people, the environments, and the freedom that revived me. 💕
