mixing high and low end fashion

A mix of high and low end fashion piece is my favorite way to dress. Below is a list of the things I typically invest in and places I may save

INVESTMENT PIECES ( creating your capsule wardrobe)

1. DENIM- always invest in high quality denim. It will save you from having to replace your jeans or shorts year after year. Most of the denim I love I have had for 5+ years and it’s wears like it’s brand new

2. SWEATERS- this is a personal preference but I am constantly grabbing for the same 3-5 sweaters. I wear them all year long. Jenni Kayne is my favorite place for my cashmere sweaters and I love the quality of them

3. SHOES- I think these are definitely important to invest in but I also know they may need to be changed every year or so because we wear them on our feet . Still a place I’m ready to invest some money into

WHERE TO SAVE

1. Accessories- purses, jewelry, headbands, belts- all of the fun things that can make an outfit an outfit! I think changing up accessories is like changing up decor in your home. It brings out the personality of an outfit and can be changed whenever you want to create fresh new outfits. The above outfit would look completely different with a Jean jacket or boots on!

2. Basic t shirts- I love my basic t shirts. I wear them all the time under sweaters with a pair of jeans or shorts. I typically get my favorites at Walmart or Target and think they are great.

3. Occasional or vacation dresses: here I like to find something trendy and fun but don’t want to spend a ton because I typically only wear it once! There are lots of great places to find fun dresses for special occasions without breaking the bank!
