Things I won’t make my kids do❌

When I was a kid my parents would make us eat all of the food on our plates. Which always left me feeling way too full and disgusting. I never have understood why anyone would force someone to eat when they just simply aren’t hungry enough for it.

Going along with that my parents would make us eat things we didn’t like. I get making them try new things. But if they don’t like it then they don’t like it.🤷‍♀️

Have sleepovers at other peoples houses including family. I wish I could trust people enough but things happened to me when I was younger so atleast until my kids understand and can tell me things then it’s a no for me.

If my kid doesn’t want to hug/kiss/ even talk to someone that they don’t want to then I’m not going to make them. Why force them to be uncomfortable? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

I will always want my kids to tell me the truth no matter what. We can sit and talk about consequences if consequences are needed but I want them to be open and honest and not feel like they need to hide things from me.
