3 lessons marriage has taught me

Of course you can learn these things w/o marriage but it took me getting married and growing closer to God to master these three things:

•selflessness: you really become one when you get married. There may be times when you have to put yourself first, but for the most part you operate out of the well-being of the couple. No more me, me, me, but more of us, we, we😂. This has been a hard thing for me bc I have a history of selfishness but I'm so much better than I used to be.

•patience: your husband will run your patience thin, HOWEVER it is up to you to still communicate in a respectful manner. Don't let your lack of patience ruin your relationship and tear down your house.

•unity: we always say "be a unit" and to us that means supporting each other and doing our best to never make the other feel embarrassed or unloved, especially in public. This also means keeping people out of your business!!! If you and your partner can't work it out, take it to God and pray as you wait. Remember, don't tell anybody anything you're not comfortable with at least 3 other people knowing.
