From a psychotherapist, and national advice columnist comes a thought-provoking new book that takes us behind the scenes of a therapist's world -- where her patients are looking for answers (and so is she).

🌁 My experience

: It was a heavy read, yet I don’t think I’ve ever related more to a book. I’m glad to have read it, makes me feel more prepared for just living and breathing and understanding people (myself included)

🌟Who will I recommend this book to?

: people who have a hard time understanding others

: people who want to be more empathetic

: people whose jobs involve interacting with many different people

: before you go for therapy / if you’re in therapy

Hello everyone! I started the year with the grand resolution of reading 37 books. It's now November and I am at a grand total of......... 3 LOL. Throwback to secondary school days reading princess diaries, rick riordan, and even jodi picoult, all within the same week that I bought/borrowed the book 💀 it's okay there's still December left!!

Inspired by Jack Edwards' youtube videos and of course, the lemon8 community, I wanted to start writing book reviews too. But as someone who used to scroll through Goodreads' comment section before deciding to pick up a book, I realised that good books will still have hate, and bad books will still get love, and reading all of that

I think we are all different and will have different experiences even with the same book right, so I didn't want to let my experience "taint" your experience of the book too. So I thought to myself as to what would convince me to read a book.

Honestly, a good quote from any book that makes me feel something, is good enough for me to at least want to pick up the book. So I've decided to share my top 7 favorite quotes from the book, and also a little about my own experience reading it and who are the people whom I think will particularly enjoy this book ✨

Happy reading!
