Visiting this hidden gem just under 3 hours from San Francisco should definitely be on your bucket list!

Located along highway 1 in Big Sur, Partington Cove is the perfect peaceful escape! Here’s everything I think you should know!⬇️

🚗Parking:

Parking is limited and unmarked so it may be a bit difficult to find it! It’s around 37 miles south of Carmel near mile marker 37.2. There will likely be other cars parked and we were able to find it based on Google Maps!

🥾Hike:

The hike itself is short (around 1 mile round trip) but there are some steep sections so I’d rate it moderate! You’ll pass through some wooded areas and a historic tunnel too! Most of the hike is exposed though and you’ll get some stunning views of the coast line heading down!

🤫Quiet and Secluded:

What makes this spot so beautiful is its peacefulness and seclusion. We had the place mostly to ourselves which made it such a serene experience!

🦦Wildlife Viewing:

Visitors may spot various marine life, including sea otters and seals, as well as coastal birds. We saw so many cute sea otters here! I could’ve watched them all day!
