in my 1989 era ….

Everyone is talking about being in their “Rep Era”s, but I am fully in my 1989 Era… Here’s why:

🌃It’s been almost 10 years since 1989 was released (and probably exactly 10 years since most of the songs were written). I was born in 1999 (10 years after Taylor), so I’m now the same age that Taylor was during her 1989 era. I am also living in NYC, just as Taylor was.

🌊1989 is a summer album, and we are now going into that pivotal summer. Taylor bought her infamous Rhode Island house in the Spring of 2013, and therefore probably spent much of Summer 2013 there… I am from Rhode Island, so I will also be splitting this Summer 2023 in between NYC & RI.

🎵Most of the songs on this album are very relatable to me at this time of my life (or looking back nostalgically at recent years). It’s also such an upbeat & happy album that I think is the perfect vibe for this summer.
