My 6:30am Morning Routine!

A New Year’s Resolution of mine was setting apart time at the start of my day for devotions. I know there are SO many POV’s when it comes to the time of day to do devotions, so here is my personal perspective! 🫶🏼

1. It starts my day of with a right worldview: Without having a daily challenge guiding me throughout my day, I find it easy to do things the same. My work will be the same, my interactions will be the same, and my thoughts will be the same- nothing is becoming BETTER. With a right worldview based on God’s worldview, I can see my works differently, people differently, and other differently as I go about my day!

2. If I don’t do it now, I’m not going to start: The same goes for everything- do the hard things first so you can thank yourself later. If I keep telling myself excuses like “I’m too tired to read this early” or “I didn’t sleep well last night,” then you’re only hurting yourself in the end. Too tired? That’s why I make a cup of coffee (with everything set up the night before 😉) Didn’t sleep well? A crabby soul isn’t gonna get better without intimate time with God 😗

There’s are things I’ve spoken to myself because these are things I’ve done!! That’s why I decided to make a routine and set apart time for God, because it becomes more special, meaningful, and something I look forward to!! ☀️
