Spend the day in Prospect Park 🌲

Going to a park is one of the best ways to have fun in the city for free! And while Central Park gets all the love, Prospect Park deserves to shine, too!

Situated between the neighborhoods of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Flatbush, and Windsor Terrace, this park is right along your Brooklyn landmark journey. The Brooklyn Museum, The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and Central Library are all located right nearby!

Inside the park, the nature will astound you. Frederick Law Olmstead designed this park in the 1800s, and his design sensibility was based on incorporating naturally occurring landscapes. So, in addition to fields and meadows, there are miles of trails that wind through the woods, over bridges and streams, ponds, and waterfalls.

The Prospect Park Loop is the large pathway that winds around the park, over 3 miles. Run, bike, or skate on this park for a fun tour, and while you're at it, stop off to visit the different adjacent neighborhoods!
