Going to the New York Renaissance Faire isnβt some thing I ever planned on doing, but at the end of a long summer I kind of fell in love with the idea. Itβs such a good activity outdoors, right outside NYC, to have a wholesome good time.
The New York Renaissance Faire is in Tuxedo Park, New York, which is a little less than an hour outside of the city and itβs really easy to get there. We actually took a bus directly from Port Authority.
Of course the most exciting part of going to the Renaissance Faire was the opportunity to get dressed up. like I said, Iβm not a cosplayer. This isnβt something I do very often, but I jumped at the chance to embody the aesthetic of fairycore and Renaissance vibes. I went all in with hair extensions and a make up routine, and then I had some fun layering clothes from my closet.
I definitely recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing some cash for food and drinks. They have tons of really good food options and handmade items to buy from vendors. There are also scheduled jousting tournaments, swordfights, and Shakespeare performances that are all so impressive. It even rained a little bit while we were there, but we were just so happy to be outside of the city that we had the best time. Highly recommend for a great day outside the city. #lemon8partner #nycweekend #nycguide #lemon8diary #thingstodoinnewyork #renaissancefaire #NYCCreator The New York Renaissance Faire owned by Renaissance Entertainment Productions.
