Date Ideas Worthy of your Bucket List!

I’m talking one of those drop everything, head to the airport & hop on the next flight out type of spontaneous trips. No bags packed, no itinerary planned, just you & your partner figuring things out- together. You don’t have to stay for weeks on end, a simple overnight will do; buy a couple new sets of clothes when you get there, be flexible & go with the flow! After all, money will always come & go but these memories will last a lifetime! (& beyond)

Typically, a tattoo on a whim is not something I would recommend; however, in this case I think it’s a special sentiment of your love & commitment to one another. Ultimately & undeniably bringing you closer together. Imagine the joy brought about, even by a stranger, simply inquiring about your partner's new tattoo. The pride in their response when telling them someone else on this earth has the same one & chose to get it with you as a symbol of your connection forever. Magical.

The ocean can glow and glitter like the stars in the sky thanks to a natural chemical process known as bioluminescence, which allows living things to produce light in their body. I’ve seen bioluminescent waves in person one time in my life in Malibu, CA- talk about MAGIC! I wish I would have gotten in the water, or at the very least captured the moment; but I also think it’s more special being stored only in my memory for now. I’d love nothing more than to chase the bioluminescent waves down the coast of California, at my earliest convenience. I’d almost put it up there with seeing the northern lights- definitely a bucket list experience. I will report back someday, after I’ve had the opportunity to share the most magical ocean experience I can think of with the love of my life. Until then, I'm still dreaming!

I’ve always wanted to make a time capsule, ever since I was a little girl. I think sharing this type of experience with your partner is special for two reasons: 1) It’s a symbol of permanence- once you seal/bury it, it can’t be undone & only two people on the planet know about it (even if it will be discovered by strangers in years to come) & 2) It marks a moment in time that will never return again, tangible evidence you both not only walked this earth, but did it together & loved each other while you were here. Some people like to choose a retrieval date upon making a time capsule. Some popular items to include are photos of yourselves, a brief depiction of your life currently, a keepsake, any predictions you might have for your life in the future, etc. Make sure you choose a location where retrieval will be possible down the road and everything is sealed/packaged properly. This is definitely a date night you’ll both remember until the end of time.
