The thought process behind card analysis

Every month during my luteal and menstrual phase, my energy really falls and it takes a large toll on my mental health. My emotions are so turbulent, and it can sometimes feel a little like a mental relapse.

Knowing that I was entering that time of the month, I turned to my deck (aka my ancestors) for some advice to carry myself through it.

🌙THE QUESTION I ASKED

“What can I do to fill my cup during the low tides of my luteal and menstrual phase?”

✨I pulled the Queen of Swords✨

The Queens represent a Divine Feminine energy, and a gracious control over the powers of their suit.

The swords (at least in my deck) correspond with the elements of air and the realm of intellectual energy. All things thought, ideas, knowledge, and intellect.

✨Card Description✨

The Queen stands with her chin high. To me, she looks proud.

She looks off into the distance. To me, it looks like she’s confident to face whatever obstacles might await her.

She holds a sword, but she doesn’t yield it. It looks light as a feather across her shoulders.

The image, I think, implies that she’s gone through a lot — had to use the sword in her past — and now stands proud where she is.

✨The Message✨

As it relates to my question, I think this card calls me to evoke the Queen’s energy when I find myself emotionally challenged.

I should look to my past of growth and all the lessons I’ve learned to hold myself firm through rough waters.
