God's Thumb in Lincoln City is 100% the hike i’m asked about the most! so i’m here to give you all the information on it…

DETAILS:

💲FREE (no entry or parking cost)

🚗the parking situation here is a little different then most. there is no parking lot. you drive to the end of a street to a round-a-bout and park somewhere within there. then the hike starts on the left side of that roundabout, use all trails if you can’t find the trailhead.

🚶‍♀️this hike is 4.5 miles (can vary). the reason it can vary is because some people choose not to go up to The Knoll. we personally did and our hike was a little over 4.5 miles. there are also some alternative paths if the path is very muddy, which it was when we went in march, so we got some extra steps there as well! the all trails hike does not take you all the way to the top of the thumb, but it is not hard to continue to follow the trail! be careful bc there is erosion!!

ℹ️overall, this hike is fairly easy and you really only gain a ton of elevation at the very beginning. follow your alltrails and it’ll bring you right where you want to go!
