Anime I recommend

Not all of these titles are mainly romance/shojo but are still very great anime series to watch with friendship/family and love being the main focus of the show

💜 Titles in order:

1) The Apothecary Diaries⭐️Overall rating: 4.8/5: I just started this show last week (it is still airing episodes, but the first full season is out). I enjoy this anime, it is set in ~15th century East Asia and the main character is an apothecary that is sold to the Emperors palace as a labor worker, but after they find she is literate and an apothecary, she becomes a lady in waiting, who teaches about her knowledge of poisons and helps solve crimes in the palace. -.2 points because not everyone will enjoy the setting/ can agree with the lifestyle of the characters (even tho it is based on historical society and not specific people or country).

2) The Saints magic power is omnipotent ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: A kingdom has a tradition of summoning “Saint’s” who possess vast magical power that can rid their lands of monsters, and a young Japanese woman finds herself becoming the saint and helping the kingdom. She is sort of oblivious to the amount of male attention she is getting within the kingdom, but finds herself falling for the commander of the kingdoms knights 😭 it’s a very wholesome and funny anime.

3) Skip and loafer ⭐️Overall rating: 4.9/5: I loveeeeed binging this show! The main character befriends a very popular (and sort of famous) boy on their first day of high school. As she makes new friends and explores Tokyo, she finds that everyone is very kind and wants to help her feel welcomed. Overall, this show is soooo wholesome and funny. -.1 point is because the story takes a dip in one of the last episodes that I didn’t think was necessary.

4)My love story with Yamada-kun at lvl 999 ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: IYKYK the manga has some very famous art 👀 but overall this anime is super cute and I ended up watching the whole first season after binging the manga. A young woman finds herself playing a new and popular RPG, where she decides to go to an in person meetup for the game (trying to impress a guy she liked) but ends up meeting Yamada. He is a total gentleman/super handsome (just antisocial) and takes care of her when she is drunk and they become friends. Many events happen that include the game/their new friends from the game and they end up falling in love 💜

5) The ice guy and his cool female colleague ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: This show is the definition of wholesome! There is no suggestive jokes, scenes, or bad episodes. A young woman on her way to her first job helps a man who is a descendent of an ice spirit, melt the ice holding him in place (because he is so nervous about his first day at work). The two find themselves becoming coworkers and fast friends. They both have a crush on each other, but do their best to get to know each other, exchange gifts and include their new friends in their experiences. I thought this show was so cuteeeee 🥲 I highly recommend watching, especially to see the little snowmen throughout the show.

6) Spy x Family ⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: I loveeeeee this show so much 😭 A spy under the codename Twilight finds himself assigned to a mission where he must get close to his target and take him down, the only problem is he must find a wife and child to complete the mission. He adopts Anya (who no one knows can read minds) and marries Yor, a woman who needed a convenient marriage (who is also a trained assassin). Together they learn to become a functioning “normal family” where each of them is constantly trying to keep their identities and abilities a secret. This show won tooooons of awards last year and I always recommending it to anyone I meet looking to start watching anime. It is hilarious and cute 💜
