Healthy habits allow me to go everyday feeling as though I accomplished something for myself.

Some include:

Listening to podcasts: I typically listen to podcasts on my way to class or while doing another activity like laundry. Every podcast I listen to, I learn something new. I want to encourage everyone to listen to podcasts as a way to grow and learn each day.

Staying active: once you learn to turn exercise into something that you enjoy doing instead of something you should be doing it changes everything. You begin to want to do new things to benefit your body and feel good, and you explore different routes of exercise along the way which can be really fun.

Eating well: I find that we are what we eat. If we want to maximize our true potential and full energy, we need to properly fuel our bodies with food. It is challenging, but I have learned over time to value my love for food after struggling for many years with it. Turning meals into art is creative, fun, and gets you more connected with your inner self.

Reading: coming for someone who said they disliked reading, I have established a deep love for reading. It allows me to quiet my mind and take time for my thoughts and self to relax. I turned reading into something I look forward to at the end of my day to help me wind down. Read books that spark your interests and I promise you, you too will fall into a love for reading.

Journaling: this by far is my most valuable habit that I created for myself. It gives my running thoughts a place to stop and stay. From writing down goals, to planning out your day, to just being mindful of how you feel all stem from journaling and it is something that I feel everyone should do to truly unlock their inner selves.
