hello! today i’ll be reviewing my film rolls that i’ve tried out before! i’m using the olympus zm210 film camera for reference☺️
1. Fuljifilm 400TX
ISO: 400
Price: ~$20
Review: my personal favourite! i don’t rmb where i got this at, probably japan… i love how the photos came out in this roll and it captured the colours so so well and grain was to my liking! 10/10 for sure, would definitely want to try this out again… 😭😭
2. Kodak Tri-X 400 (B&W)
ISO: 400
Price: ~$30 💸💸💸
Review: yes, it’s a black and white film which i have never tried before. was kinda scared when the photos was sent over however i instantly fell in love with it.. the black and white captured the details really well and it was definitely worth the money, gave off nostalgic vibes too which i really loved
3. Fujifilm Fujicolor 100
ISO: 100
Price: ~$15
Review: bought this in japan as it was limited edition and ohmy the photos turned out really well in daylight… personally one of my favourites too:”) would def want to source for this again if i get a chance!
4. Escura Showa C41 Film
ISO: 400
Price: ~$30 💸💸💸
Review: bought this film when i was in japan as the packaging looked cute 😅 after developing, pictures gave out a vintage + cool tone effect towards daylight photos. photos came out in low saturation with medium grain, doesnt rly do well at night. not my cup of tea but definitely worth a try still for something different! it was also 24 + 6 exposure which was different from other films
5. Kodak Colorplus 200
ISO: 200
Price: ~$14+ (whampoa colour centre)
Review: One of the first few rolls i got when i was using the kodak disposable camera! bought it during my trip to korea~ gave off a balanced tone of both warm and cool! definitely can give it a try if you’re just starting to try out films
just realised all the films i’ve reviewed on are mostly bought in japan… but i’ve tried out other films such as kodak during my early days of film(i’ve lost track🫠😅)
these are just my opinion on the different film rolls i’ve used and im still experimenting! do lmk what’s your favourite film roll and if there’s any i can try out in the future!! 😚🫶🏻
