Here are some of my favorite coming of age movies:

Pretty in Pink

This 1986 movie features Molly Ringwald and Jon Cryer. I watched it in high school thought it was great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a classic coming of age movie!

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Based on the book by Ann Brashares, this 2005 movie is a modern classic. It features a star studded cast of Alexi Bledel, Blake Lively, and America Ferrera as best friends who are each going through something.

Kings of Summer

This underrated coming of age film is an independent film about three best friends who are frustrated at the world and decide to live off the land. This comedy-drama gives a unique perspective into what it’s like being a teenager.

Little Women

Directed by Greta Gerwig, the newest take on the classic story presents a thoughtful depiction of young women during the American revolution era. Four sisters each have their own dreams and we get to see them follow them throughout their adolescence.
