The Best Way for Couples to Split Expenses

Splitting bills 50/50 might seem like the logical thing to do, but it’s not the best way to split expenses. I believe that couples should split expenses equitably, based on percentage of income. So, what would that look like?

Let’s say my salary is $115k and my partner’s is $85k. That would mean my income makes up 57.5% and his makes up 42.5%, so that would be how we split our shared bills.
