HOW TO SOAK OFF GEL 💅🏽

Too often, nail products are improperly removed. Even at salons! This can cause severe damage to your nail bed, and even lead to nail plate deformity. ☹️

This is the method I use to remove all soak-off gel products, in addition to acrylic.

1. Buff the shine off of the polish. I used an e-file, but you could do this with a nail file too! Note: When removing gel x or acrylic products, you may need the e-file to debulk first.

2. Saturate a cotton ball with acetone and lay it over the polish. Hold the cotton in place with a nail clip. If you don’t have nail clips, wrap your fingers in foil! It works great.

3. After soaking for about 10 minutes, remove the cotton ball. Gently remove the nail product with a nail scraper or a cuticle pusher. Note: The polish should be loose and easy to remove. If you have to scrape too hard, get a new cotton ball and soak again!
