One thing I've been trying to decide is whether to get a humidifier or not for the nursery. Relative humidity in the nursery seems to be around 38% but I read somewhere I should try to keep it in between 45-50% because baby has sensitive skin.

I am concerned about the potential downsides though... last thing I want is to unintentionally create a situation where mold or bacteria can thrive (in the humidifier). It seems like levoit humidifiers are popular but upon searching youtube and other reviewers it's difficult to clean. I found carepod and canopy but the reviews are very mixed. One thing I don't like about carepod is that it seems like the nooks cannot be properly cleaned (based on my friend's unit) and got moldy as well. I found that Miro humidifiers are the cleanest since they can come apart(?) but because every part is exposed apparently I would have to replace one of the parts every year or two which is not a big deal.

Anyways, I'm reaching out to expecting moms here to get their opinions.... Have you guys used a humidifier in your baby's nursery? How was it?

Is this going to add to the many chores we are going to have after the baby is born? I'm pretty sold on Miro humidifier since my mom group friends have one & their support seems to be pretty responsive when I contacted them. Are there any other brands I should consider?

Thanks again for the help...
