Must Try: $3 Banana Pie 🍌

Dona Manis Cake Shop is a traditional bakery that has been around for more than 30 years. While they do have other bakes, they are well known for their traditional banana pie.

The store itself is super unassuming and is located at the basement of Katong Shopping Centre. When we arrived, we were surprised to see a queue as it was a Tuesday morning. Despite the queue, the 2 men manning the store were efficient and hence we didn't have to queue for long. What's even more surprising was that the banana pie was the only thing on the menu.

The banana pie itself was not too sweet and had a crumbly crust. I would recommend heating it up before eating as it's just much nicer that way! While I personally loved it, my friend found it to be pretty normal.

If you're heading to Joo Chiat, you should definitely give it a try as I personally think it is worth the calories. Do head down early as they close at 430pm!
