Peranakan Cafe with Artisanal Tarts 🤤

Ambling Turtle is a French Peranakan Inspired Cafe that specialises in artisanal tarts. Located right in the heart of Joo Chiat, it is the perfect place for a day out of cafe hopping or even just soaking up whatever the east has to offer.

Despite it being a Peranakan inspired cafe, the space was a good mix of traditional meets modern. A plus point would be that it has 2 storeys too! So you probably do not have to worry about finding seats. However, when we came on a Tuesday morning, we were surprised to find 2 other groups there — with one of them being a group of students studying.

The menu was extensive with offerings such as light snacks, tarts, french toasts, drinks and even mains. The star of the show was definitely the Laksa Mac and Cheese. Not only did it have strong laksa flavours, it was topped with a super crispy coconut grating which truly made the dish much yummier.
