The Beauty Industry

& how I got into it.

I knew I was passionate about beauty & skincare. I'd scour the aisles of tjmaxx looking for deals & kbeauty I could try nearly every week. I used to talk my husband's ear off about how good a formula was, or how quickly I noticed results. I would sometimes share these opinions on my personal instagram stories, but mostly just kept it to myself. I knew I wanted to share, though!

finally one day, I decided I needed to just try.

I wiped my personal instagram of all personal photos and non beauty related content. I made a story announcing my account was going to be exclusively beauty related going forward & told family and friends I'd understand if they weren't interested and would unfollow.

some did! but some stayed.

2020 the pandemic started and a lot of brands were called out for expecting photos in exchange for products. though I had been doing that, I realized it was not okay, these brands had more than enough resources for campaigns and content creation, so they needed to start paying. I got my first 4 figure campaign this year, and I realized how much I loved it.

I also invested in a camera!

it has continued through the years, there's been new apps, streaming shows, UGC (user generated content) and more opportunities to grow than I ever could've imagined 6 years ago. I'm so grateful to be here & can't wait to see what the future holds.
