There were sooo many things that i wanted to do for my wedding such as Decor Add-ons and Photobooth but we had a budget to stick to 😩 Along the way i tried to prioritise what is really important to me in order to create an UNIQUELY US wedding! These are the 5 things we did with absolutely no regrets 🤩

1. Aisle Decor & Photo Gallery by Vendor

Long story short, i decided 3 months before my wedding i really wanted to engage a vendor for additional decor and this spending was really worth it ⭐️

I got quotations from different vendors and eventually signed with GetHitched on the following:

- Aisle Decor: $870 for 10 floral hedges and 8 bubble lights

- Photo Gallery: $750 for 6 two-meter photo banners and 6 floral hedges

- Mirror welcome board: $80

They gave us a discount so we paid $1588 in total.

As the reception area for MO’s oriental ballroom is quite spacious, the actual placements of the photo gallery was around the entire area, creating a museum kind of experience for guests to walk about and look at our PWS photos! I also absolutely loved my aisle decor and the bubble lights created a very cosy ambience in the dim lighting, and i used the space to take photos with my guests as well! Overall, the best decision i had made for my wedding 🥰

2. DIY Photo table & Solemnisation Decor

Since the quoted prices for the photo table ($388) was quite expensive in my opinion, we decided to go simple and DIY for <$100! The end results turned out better than what we expected as well.

Rather than the usual vase flowers, we actually put a long stretch of flowers at the back of the table to beautify the whole space! We also did our guestbook via WEDDING POST, where guests can write their well wishes on our photo cards that we received after our PWS and drop it in the mail! I love this idea because i could put my PWS photo cards to good use and they were easy to store at home afterwards!

For Solemnisation, we repurposed our vendor’s photo gallery floral hedges for the solemnisation aisle (refer to the first photo), so it was technically FOC as we didn’t have to get additional floral hedges! We only had to buy some floral sashes and “Mr & Mrs” sign on shopee for <$20 to make the chairs look less empty. As my solemnisation ended within 15 minutes, i didn’t want to splurge a few hundreds on a floral arch or other decor and i was happy with this arrangement.

3. No Second March In

As we wanted to spend more time enjoying our banquet celebration, we did away with the second march in and could really immerse ourselves during the games segments. Also, i only wanted to wear 2 white gowns on my AD so i see no reason in having a second march in if i am not changing my gown!

4. Wedding Matchy Game

Instead of the usual bingo game with numbers, we decided to create our own PERSONALISED CARD with ICONS that represent a milestone/memory in our relationship journey e.g. first date, overseas trips, things we love. The game was held as a lucky draw with 5 winners, and icons would be randomly selected via a wheel spinner. Whenever an icon is selected, we will share the significance of the icon to us! It’s a simple way for guests to get to know us better 😊

5. POV Camera App

As we didn’t have a photobooth, we wanted to encourage our guests to take more photos for memories sake! We chanced upon this app where guests can just scan the QR code and be led to the app, where they can take and post photos on the shared gallery. They have different pricing for the number of users you want, for us it costed $34.99 for a maximum of 100 users.

We printed the QR codes on an A5 card and placed them on each table. After the event, i was so happy to see some nice and funny photos being taken!
