How long does it take for a perm to grow out?

Over the past 20 years, I have been natural since birth. However, I decided to get a perm when I turned 20 because managing my natural hair was quite challenging. Reflecting on this, I regret getting the perm because of the constant itching, burning, and hair loss. It's frustrating, and I wish I had never done it.
