3 ways I save BIG when traveling:

✈️🌎I love traveling but even more… I love traveling on a budget. I get a kick at seeing how cheap I can see and travel to a new place and still have the best time!

So here are my top 3 tips on how I save money while I travel the world:

👨‍🍳 1. Stay somewhere with a kitchen! Cooking your own food can be a huge money saver, depending on where you traveled to. If you don’t want to cook, or can’t find a place with a kitchen, at least stay somewhere with a fridge to store the left overs. I budget a lot on food when I travel as I’m not a huge “foody”! So I tend to save a lot sometimes.

🚊 2. Research the cheapest transportation option ahead of time! This could save you so much $$$! I usually splurge on my first taxi when I get to a new destination (if I didn’t rent a car) so I can get to my hotel/hostel etc. and settle in. But you’d be surprised how much you can save by figuring out if it’s cheaper to take a bus, a driver, a train, boat, plane etc.!

👯‍♀️ 3. Book your tours when you get there/take group tours! Soooo often it can be cheaper to book any tours in person rather than online. It will also always be cheaper to book with group tours and can be a fun way to meet people as well! If you’d rather spend a little more just to have your bookings set or you don’t have schedule flexibility this may not be for you, I’ve been there as well.

These three things have saved me tons over the years as a die hard budget traveler :)
