OVERRATED or not? 🤷🏻‍♀️ 8 Korean BBQ

Not sure if anyone can relate to this but… new KBBQ places are sprouting up so often and I tend to find myself in a dilemma of whether I should visit the same places or try out new spots 😅

My friends and I visited 8 Korean BBQ Shaw Centre , known for their pork belly available in 8 different flavours (Original, Wine, Garlic, Curry, Herb, Miso, Gochujang and Kalbi).

I went to their Clarke Quay branch many many years ago when 8 KBBQ was THE IT SPOT back then (not sure about now haha). It didn’t leave a deep impression besides the fact that they have so many pork belly flavours, so I wanted to try it again at their newer outlet in Shaw Centre!

What we ordered:

🥓 4 Colours Set ($68): 4 flavours of your choice

🥓 Beef Sampler Set ($98): Uruguay Striploin, Oyster Blade and Wagyu Woo Samgyeop

Honest thoughts:

💭 Starting off with the banchan, it would be nicer if they offered more types of banchan for more variety! The marinade of each pork belly flavour was distinct and very tasty. If you’re into stronger flavours like me, I highly recommend getting the Kalbi flavour. Kinda bummed that they don’t have a set that consists of both pork and beef though, so we had to order 1 pork and 1 beef set. Also.. they charge $2 for water :(

💭 Would come back for more special occasions as its not the most pocket-friendly KBBQ option!
