If I could go back and learn 3 things before starting my fitness journey it would be these :

1️⃣ How to Track Macros

If I knew how to do this from the beginning this would have saved me SO much time/guess work.

Is it absolutely essential that you follow macros down to the tee every day to get results? No. But, if you know and learn about them you get SO much more clarity around nutrition. Knowing how much of each food group your body needs, in order to work for something specific is a FITNESS GAME CHANGER 👏🏼

2️⃣ You can’t spot reduce

I wish someone told me when I started that I couldn’t just go into the gym everyday and hit abs to shrink my waist and glutes to grow my booty! Making fitness progress requires a well-rounded, structured PLAN : detail & consistency in training, nutrition, recovery, and your daily habits. It’s a LIFESTYLE!

3️⃣ Overtraining can kill your gains

Yes it’s possible to work out too much! Your body makes progress depending on its muscle tear and recovery turnover rate. Recovery is directly linked to your body’s stress levels. Nutrition, sleep, hydration and rest days can be more important than training itself in contributing to your progress. You can’t go ham in the gym 6 days a week for a few months and expect your obtain your dream body. Challenging yourself in your lifts is important, but nutrition & recovery need to be just as much if not more of a priority!

Take the time to learn these things now instead of working against yourself! You got this 🫶🏼✨
