Being a fitness girly with a HUGE sweet tooth can be challenging — I believe in honoring my cravings and incorporating desserts and meals I love in moderation.. but my problem is I crave something sweet EVERY DAY lol 😭
In my case, I’ve found that I can incorporate macro friendly desserts into my nutrition every day AND STILL reach my goals + cure my sweet tooth!
In my opinion, healthy eating should be fun and not restrictive. Incorporating fun/enjoyable snacks, meals and desserts into my every day routine, that actually fit my macros and taste good, has helped repair my relationship with food.. and when I do enjoy a treat out with friends, I appreciate it so much more!
It’s all about finding enjoyable and REALISTIC swaps, substitutes & creating balance in your every day routine. When you do this, you are less likely to feel deprived and binge, which leads to guilt/shame and ultimately a damaged relationship with both yourself and food 😔
These recipes have helped me because they are :
- high protein
- low sugar
- and mostly low to moderate carbs & fats
This way, it satisfies my sweet tooth WHILE helping me hit my macros!! It’s a win-win for me🤩🤝🏼
