Short knotless: These were my first braids in a long time. The lady who did my hair was a beginner and it wasn’t great but I appreciate getting my hair done regardless. Short hair is super cute but it all depends on face shape.

Long knotless: safest option for sure. Beautiful, simple but perfect. You can’t go wrong with knotless (except for the fact that after a month or two it looks crusty. Make. Sure to take care of them).

Bohemian knotless: IM GONNA BE SO FOR REAL, I am NOT a fan. I usually like them on others but Everytime I’ve gotten then done the boho’s fall out and it’s embarrassing. I gave up on boho, it’s beautiful but high maintenance especially if it isn’t done correctly. It also usually costs more to get boho curls braided in.

Large knotless: They are cute but they get crusty fast, obviously. Not much to say other than that it’s safe but gets crusty easily. I got called rapper names by my peers at school but they’re a gaggle of rancid cunts anyways. Super cute though.

French curl: OH MY GOODNESS. Absolutely beautiful. Only downside is that I had my white mom do it and it was her first time braiding so it took 14 hours (I have a lot of hair). But it lasts a while, it’s high maintenance but beautiful at the end of the day. French curl hair is a little costly and it’s inconvenient for braiders but it’s beautiful.

Twists: My mom also did this style and honestly she messed it up real bad.. high maintenance but only because I had to redo them because it wasn’t properly done. It’s beautiful in pictures but it looked BAD in person. But mine were bigger because my hair is thick and I wanted to get it done in one night.

Blonde bohemian: Super beautiful, paid extra for the boho but cut them out not even 2 weeks in because they kept falling out. But I loved this style and only took it out when my natural hair literally grew almost a whole inch. Was obsessed but next time I think I’ll go for darker red or hazel brown. Blonde wasn’t for me.

Natural twists: this was temporary to keep my hair from tangling but I love the baby twists. It made me feel confident and regardless of what others say, I was happy. It’s beautiful to be natural and I really liked the twists. Good for a little protection.

Fulani: first time getting scalp braids in 5 YEARS! I’m extremely tender headed but I feel beautiful. I will be getting these again. I cried a lot. I won’t even lie, when I got in the car I bawled my eyes out but I feel beautiful. It’s nice to not have hair in my face. I just feel so beautiful. Might be one of my favorites but the pain I felt was NOT ok.
