Editing Tips: How to Create Editorial Collage

How to: Editorial Collage… but make it fashion 😝

If you follow me on Instagram , you’ll see that I’ve recently been obsessed with the magazine collage aesthetic for my feed and stories, cuz it makes it look like a page out of a Vogue spread. Here’s how I do it!

01 This photo style works best if you have a certain detail you want to focus on! I like to collage my pictures especially when I’m showing off a specific product, or an element in my outfit.

02 Zoom in, zoom out! Don’t be afraid to mix close-up detail shots with pictures that are taken further away. This actually helps with the magazine-like aesthetic and gives a nice contrast to the whole montage.

03 Editing helps to tie the whole collage together! Make sure you apply the same editing treatment to all the photos in the collage, so they don’t look out of place when stitched together.

04 Where the light falls 〰️ if you notice one thing in common with most of my collages, is that I like to play with light leaks when taking my photos! It adds to the mood and aesthetic of the photo, and gives the whole collection some personality when pieced together.

05 Some good collaging apps I use are PhotoGrid, Storyluxe, Unfold. I also like the layout function on IG stories!
