What I sent to my husband in the Middle East

Holidays are always extra hard with a deployed family member, I never really cared about Valentine’s Day but it still hurts not having my husband near me when everyone is celebrating their love.

To make it extra special I sent my husband a box with some goodies to make his time a little better. It is common to decorate the boxes for soldiers to make them extra special. All the candy hearts have military related jokes on them (yes it is completely ironic).

I try to pack some things he needs, such as socks and shower items and some goodies as well. It is hard to find things to send because they’re either not allowed or too big for the box.
