𝟭. 𝗟𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝘂𝗲𝘅 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘀 (𝟲 𝗣𝗹. 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁-𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿é𝘀, 𝟳𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲)

One of Paris’ most iconic cafes, Les Duex Magots has been around since 1914, and was famous with many literary icons.

Order: Le Classique breakfast (£13)

This breakfast set comes with a croissant, bread and butter, and your choice of hot beverage. I got hot chocolate which was really more of a chocolate dip - a lot thicker than what we’re used to. The croissant was okay, but the star of this meal was really the bread and butter. Truly superior.

𝟮. 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗥é𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 (𝟯𝟵 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗱𝘂 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝟳𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟯 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗦)

The Bouillon chain is known for their affordable French fare, and there’s usually a queue to get a table. Every Bouillon restaurant has a different menu, and this is the best in my opinion. (Was recommended by a local too!)

Order:

“Royan” Ravoili with Leek Fondue (£9.20)

Beef Stew with French Fries (£10.80)

French Onion Soup with Cantal Cheese (£8.50)

Everything was so good, and worth it for the price! They serve a complimentary basket of bread, but it was rather dry and tasteless so you can skip that.

𝟯. 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮 (𝟮𝟬𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗮𝗶, 𝟳𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲)

The prettiest restaurant of the lot, it’s highly recommended you reserve a table if you want to be seated on the top floor which has the nicest decor. We made a reservation but were more than 10 minutes late, which resulted in us losing our prime spot. While waiting, you have the option of chilling at the bar downstairs.

Order:

Burrata Al Pesto Rosso (£13.50)

Mammargherita (£12.50)

Porc Le Meilleur Et Pour Le Pire (£15.50) - Tomato based pork shoulder and chest pasta stewed for 8 hours

La Fameuse Pâte À La Truffe (£19) - Truffle cream pasta

I loved everything we had here, but was especially surprised at how good the pizza was. Pillowy soft dough with a crisp exterior - one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my life.

𝟰. 𝗟𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗟’𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗰ô𝘁𝗲 (𝟮𝟬 𝗥𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁-𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗼î𝘁, 𝟳𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲)

This place has only one item on the menu - steak with frites. The best part? UNLIMITED fries :’). They serve salad to start, before going on to the main course.

Order: Steak with Frites (medium rare) (£27.50)

𝟱. 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗺é (𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝟭𝟯𝟯 𝗔𝘃. 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘀-É𝗹𝘆𝘀é𝗲𝘀, 𝟳𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲)

The macarons here were pricey, but definitely worth trying. There are many unique flavours for you to choose from!

Try:

Box of 6 (£20.50)

Note: the items we ordered from restaurants were able to feed 3 hungry girls comfortably :’)
