HOW I MAKE IT FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS

When you’re older and living on your own, it is hard for it to feel like Christmas. You aren’t seeing the same traditional things in your decorated childhood home. Here is how I am making this year feel Christmasy!

• Baking, often

- Cookies we used to do, new things that I want to

start as a tradition

• Decorating in a way that is more nostalgic and classic

then trendy

• Watching my favorite Christmas movies, even when I

don’t feel it

- Christmas felt like Christmas because everything on

tv was holiday themed. There weren’t the options

we have now. I am purposely choosing holiday

movies and episodes

• Listening to Christmas music

- I know, duh. But again, it used to be Christmas

music all the time on the radio. I am trying to focus

on a majority of that.

• Finishing shopping a week early

- I am giving myself time to be excited for Christmas

rather than still stressing about gifts

• Activities, go look at lights, look for events going on in

your town, build a dang snowman
