musubi komachi zen (shoyu-koji unagi) - $25

this lunch set consists of 6 additional side dishes apart from the seiro gohan, as well as yuzu tonjiru miso soup! i found some to my liking such as the lemon-koji karaage, yuzu macaron & steamed ika siu mai but the rest were pretty hit or miss :-(

personally not a fan of unagi as well so i shall not comment about it

verdict - 6.4/10

shoyu-koji beef seiro gohan - $15

now this was really good! decent portion and came with a crab-gravy chawanmushi that complemented the dish well 😄 reminds me of a typical gyu-don!

verdict - 7.4/10

aomori salmon seiro gohan - $15

now..i dislike salmon but this dish just made me change my mind :0 its so well seasoned and steamed ???? super impressive 😌😌

verdict - 7.7/10

crab-gravy chawanmushi

honestly i felt that the yuzu peels didn’t go well with the chawanmushi.. so if we just kick those aside then we got an amazing-quality japanese style steamed egg 😆 they were generous with the crab pieces as well!

verdict - 7.2/10

lemon-koji sorbet - $4

ok the sweetness comes first.. then the sour arrives and hits you like an absolute truck

not really my thing but i’m sure anyone who loves sour food would appreciate this

verdict - 6.8/10

i actually wanted to try their melty pork dishes but they were out of stock on the day i went :( maybe next time then
